Dear fellow HI Forumites.
I find that I must also resign as a moderator for the HI Forum. This isn’t something that’s the spur of the moment as it is something I have been considering for some time because of many reasons.
I will also be hanging around although maybe not as usual because since my health has improved so has my outlook on a lot of things changed as well as my tastes.
I am renewing an interest in Sci-Fi as well as books on ndn heritage as well as hunting down my ancestors and maybe fulfilling a lifetime dream of getting on the roles of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
Also I am renewing a very serious relationship with Oklahoma Crappie and Catfish fishing which will get me outdoors more and more so I will have less time to do whatever job I was able to fulfill here for all of you and BFC.
It has also been an honor as well as a privilege to serve you in the capacity of an HI moderator.
I look forward to being here off and on for a good long time to come as my health permits me.

Sir; you will be missed, my first HI item was a YCS special. Good luck with the fish.

In my short time here, I have received great help and input from you. Have fun in your endeavors and I hope your health continues to improve. Thank you for your service.

What?! just take a laptop with you.....;)

YVSA,

Thanks for helping out on the forum. Happy fishing; sometimes a little quiet, sun, and air is the best medicine.

I saw your name in gold a few moments ago, and was expecting this thread. I hope you do come around here fairly often Yvsa. I think this place would suffer without you. I consider you a friend, and a mentor, and my craftsmanship is budding under your guidance. Additionally, your FF ramped up my HIKV significantly. You will be missed as a moderator. Thank you, sincerely, for your service. It has been VERY much appreciated.

Best wishes to you, Yvsa and Thank You for your wisdom.
(I miss here a smiley: "applauding while standing").

To bad for us Yvsa, but too good for you. You have always been a very cool, generous person who I like a lot:thumbup: Plus I credit you a great deal with turning me onto the convex concept!

You will be missed. I have found you to be a gentleman whose opinion is always valuable. Enjoy the fish but make sure you drop in.

We all apreciate the work you and the other mods do. I'm glad your health has improved and you get to spend more time outside. If you ever decide you want to fish for somthing more exciting than catfish come on up here and I'll take you salmon fishing.

Gord

I am almost overwhelmed with a sense of loss. In the short time I have been a forumite I have come to take your reassuring presence for granted. You will be sorely missed.

But given the reasons you cite, I think your decision is a good one. I hope your health continues to improve and that you will post some fishing pictures when time permits. I am sure I speak for all when I say we would appreciate hearing from you often. Good luck friend.

Thanks for your service, wisdom and kindness, Yvsa.
The steady guiding Elder's hand you provide will be missed.

Yvsa... you did great as a mod, an unenviable job.

A return to health and time away from the computer are two wonderful things- take full advantage of both.

If munk suddenly quits, we will just have to confront the harsh reality that Zombies are eating our moderators, and replacing them with their own "regiztered uzers."

Good fishin' Yvsa... I'm glad you're feeling better. I haven't been around much but I missed this place, and you were always a big part of it.

Thanks for all you did Yvsa. Fishin, tracking down family history, getting on the roles... THAT is going to keep you busy :) Good luck with all of it. It sounds like fun!

Alan

Yvsa,

While I am sad that you are stepping down, I have to commend you for all your years of service both official and unofficial watching over HI. Like Howard, you are very much appreciated here in whatever role you choose to take. I thrilled at the fact that you are actually able to enjoy your life now that your health is getting better. No one in their right mind would wish for you to stay around here and have you hunched over in pain at the screen when you could be out and about making your mark on the world and giving others what you have given us for years.
Thank you so very much, sir.

Jake
