My resignation

Howard, please accept my thanks for doing a great job.

Glad you're not leaving, 'cause the photos you post are always so dang interesting. I mean, I've travelled the world somewhat, but not like YOU have.

I remember the "South Park Character" banter with you and Red Flower- hilarious. And the "gross food" thread.

Maybe you'll have more time to post if you're not reading so much...

Howard, Thanks for the effort you've put in as mod, and I certainly hope you'll continue to stick around. It wouldn't be the Cantina without you.
 
Thank you for your hard work in a hard time. I know that your caring meant a lot to me when this place when through all it went through about a year ago. You're one of the ones whose posts I always read with anticipation, and I thank you again for all you've done.

Take it easy, and stay around. Being a Gold member is less work and you get to post photos and everything!

With sadness, I have accepted Howard's resignation as HI
Moderator. I am most appreciative of the all the work he
has done.

I am looking forward to his continued participation as a
regular member of the Forum.

I am so thankful he has assured me the long time family
friendship we have enjoyed will continue as the years go
by.

Beautifully said Yangdu! Howard IS part of the core of this place. I was impressed with his sensitivity and judgment as a moderator, and his ability to always take the high road. I am sincerely glad that he will still be with us regularly.

Thank you Howard .. you have the true spirit of a moderator since long before you were chosen as a moderator here .. Uncle Bill know it .. Auntie Yangdu know it .. I know it .. and we know it .. even though not everybody know it .. participate as usual since before this .. take care!
 
Thanks for everything Howard. You helped pick up the pieces with Munk and Yvsa at an important time, and kept the train rolling.

Now that you're not driving, you can saunter back and have a well deserved drink. Maybe dazzle us with some fast neutron stories...

That was insightful. It's one of the pleasures of this place that even with Howard stepping down, the character of our moderators still prompts us to that.
