Man, I think about doing that every single time I use mine (couple times a week), but I always chicken out, I don't wanna mess it up. I'm assuming you did it yourself?

Yep, done myself with just stationary disc sander and some Scotch Brite pads
on a die grinder (corded drill will work). Just make sure the top guard stays
parallel to the sander face. Take a little off at a time. Not really that big
of a deal.

I have been trying to decide between the RMD and the RMDxLE and had almost settled on the RMD. I absolutely love the mod. Now I have to start all over on which one to get
