Is Rukuses even a word? No idea. I'm just really excited about my new mini. I know a lot has been posted about these knives, but I just had to show mine off a little.

I think more than one rukus is still "rukus" -like dear. I like the looks of that wood handle. The mini has been calling me too. Nice looking knives.

Nice, the winewood handle looks pretty cool, wasn't sure how I'd take to it, but it looks good.

Looks good! I wish BM would post pics of assembled Rukus on their site. The inlays by themselves don't do them much justice.

Any blade play, btw? It took almost a year to develop on mine, got it back from BM a few weeks ago good as new.

That Mini (if you can call it that) looks to be the perfect size.
Nice Score!

Is more than one Rukus a Reekus??

I gotz 4 Reekus and 3 Beesses and 2 Spyderco Cleepits in my safe.

Colog, nice knives! I'm in the process of purchasing a Mini Rukus myself. Love that blade shape and the size is just right.

Nope no blade play as of yet, but these have seen only very light use.

I will agree that the mini is just about the perfect size knife, for me anyway.

I discussed, with some friends at work, if rukuses was a word. 2 people said it was, and one person suggested rukii. :)

I finally got a Rukus and I really see what all the rukus is about. The big one is just right for me. Yes it is big, but in a sheeple kind of way.(Hey that is a good thing, especially for a knife this size,). Great looking pics, more is better. Especially those who have some of the different handle material. The wood looks great.Take care all and God Bless You!

Nice pic, but lets see some more. I love my rukus. A nice blade shape to handle everything, and enough heft to do more. I'd like to see some more customized pics on this knife.

Colog,, they look great. Really like the darker color of the wood scales.

I have the large ruckus and thought you might be interested in the sheath I had made for it. Makes carrying it a pleaseure. It's canted a bit for fast, easy access. No uncomfortable "squatting" or sitting. You get the idea. I also have one for my Spyderco Manix.

I'm also curious about what you think of the mini-Ruckus. How is does the grip feel, etc. Just a few words. Also, where's the best place to pick up those custom scales?

Regards

That sheath is the $hi7!

Just my experience- I have small/medium size hands and loved the feel of the full size (one of the few really large folders that I liked). For some reason, even though it should have been a much better size for me, I did not like the feel of the mini at all. Didn't feel secure or very well balanced.

Of course, there are obviously plenty of people who feel the opposite, or like both (that looks outstanding with the wood Colog!). I prefer the feel of the Grip in that size range. If you like the regular, I would really suggest handling the mini before you buy it. -my $.02

That was sort of my guess. The large Ruckus has a small handle for such a large knife and feels good at that size. But shrink the knife down along with the handle, it then seems that the handle would be too small for a good, secure grip.

Thanks

What kind of blade play developed, and how did that occur? My Mini Rukus seems tight as a bank vault so far, after several hundred openings and daily (light) use.

I have a fairly normal sized hand, not considered big or small. The mini fits perfectly in my hand.

I got the wood handle from knifecenter.com.

That sheath is really cool, who made it for you? If you don't mind me asking.

Horizontal blade play while closed or opened. It was slight, but developed slowly. I backed out the pivot torx and applied loctite, but hopped a thread on one side so had to send it back to BM :/

They did me right, though. New clip, new pivot torx and they sharpened it all for free. I've used mine nearly daily (rotating a BM5500) and the green micarta has a neat oily look now. Still love this knife.

Vess Collectibles (store name) on Ebay. Do a search for something like "sebenza sheath" and some of his stuff will come up. He's from Canada. Nice guy to do business with. If you don't see what you are looking for, just email him.
