My search for the perfect neck knife wasn't successful...

Have you seen the Fred Perrin Neck Bowie? I don't have one, but it looks awesome & its definately near the top. of my list.

I'm in a similar situation to yours as well. First bought an Izula 2, but wasn't super impressed with how it cut, then a Bk14, which IMO cut better than the Izula but the handle wasn't comfortable to me. I just ordered a Bark River Little Creek with Ebony wood handle and A2 steel. Hasn't arrived yet. Hoping to really like it, but I'm worried the handle will be too small. We'll see

Check out the Les George small fixed blade, VECP, in 3v steel with a hard chrome finish. It's skeleton construction but you can add scales to it. Great little knife that will take a beating.

Can't see how you could go wrong with a BK&T/KaBar BK14 w/handle kit. Under $50 total. GREAT knife.

wow, these are a lot of great suggestions. I'm afraid about the handle of the Little Creek being too short, too, but most users say it feels good and grippy, probably because of the beefy handle.

But do you want a beefy handle on a neck knife? I carry mine inside my shirt so I generally prefer thin handles.

I swear by the Spartan Enyo:

Hi glubse -

chopchop beat me too it - JK Knives can custom make you just what you want - you draw it up and he'll turn it into steel.

One that I can think of would be the Anniversary EDC - here is a pic of one in 3/16 01 steel - it would be nearly indestructible.
