Thanks again to all you wonderful people and all of your knowledge. This is the second blade I have made. I wanted something that could stand up to very hard use, and was practically indestructable. I know, no such thing. So here it is, 1/4" thick, 52100 triple quenched and triple tempered to approx. 59 RC. Homemade green and tan Micarta scales, and homemade leather sheath. The only thing I wish I did differently is the snap on the sheath. I think I prefer the style that comes over the handle and snaps onto the body of the sheath (over the blade). I am sure there is proper terminology for what I am trying to say, but still learning. BTW, I really like this 52100 stuff. I have a lot of it and although this blade was all stock removal, I look forward to doing some forging with it. Anyways, the knife is 8" overall, with a 4" blade. I know, the handle seems small, but I have big hands and I made the contours to fit my hand. It really seems comfortable in the hand. Any critique, as always, is VERY welcome. Thanks for looking!
