This one is made out of a Japanese Kogatana so it has many layers of hard / soft steel then a core of white paper steel normally about 60-61 RC. It had a plain rough file finish so I took it to the belt sander to take that off and get more of a Suminagashi look. The handle consists of black fibre liners then grey then purple heart scales with brass lanyard tube and mosaic pins. The sheath was the first I have made. It’s made of 4mm vegetable tanned leather glued then stitched with black / white nylon thread, wet formed to the knife I then stamed it with my ALEX hanko stamp while wet. Then finally put it in my own mix of waxes then buffed to a shine.

Any comments welcome (be nice)

Cheers, Alex
