Hello everyone. I'm pretty new here to the forum. I've been looking around for a while, and you guys do some real nice work. It's so interesting to see the differences in personal preferences and tastes among knife-makers and collectors.

I'm just getting into knife-making as another hobby, and thought I'd show off my latest. I've started about a half dozen knives, but this is only my second completely finished one. I gave it to my dad as a thank you gift, and he loved it.

I've got to say thanks to V.Six for helping me get this thing finished off right. He let me use his shop and steel so I actually had the right stuff for the job. Till now, I've been using my own tools, mostly woodworking to try to work this metal, and obviously, it wasn't working quite as well.

Anyway, here's the pics. I made the sheath from some leather scraps I had laying around. It's basket-weave stamped and sinew stitched. The knife itself is 1095 steel. Handle is (from inside out) paduk, maple, and bolivian mahogany. Let me know what you think.
