i ordered one last night too. record time between finding out about a knife and buying it, only about an hour. can't wait for it to arrive.

great shot, there.

nice photo !
mine should arrive in a couple of days, till then I am stuck with my FG UKPK ;)

Thanks everyone, I was seriously considering the Delica 4 British Green ZDP-189
as my next knife now I am considering another UKPK in Foliage Green.

Salt I is already on the way to me so I have to sit tight for a couple of weeks
before my wife starts asking questions on why so many deliveries lately.

However, the S30V Native at WalMart for $39 is calling my name.

PIN---Explain the lock-up, please. How does it feel over all? Like when opening, opened and then closing. Great knife! Thanks!

I have no other Spyderco in size to compare it to until this coming weekend
when I'll have my Salt I and maybe a Native. However, with one handed
opening using your thumb, the UKPK has a super smooth action to it.

Very much a solid feel when the blade "sets" with a solid click, it leaves
nothing to second guess if the blade is ready to go or not.

Also, when fully open, pushing on the spine jimping with your thumb is enough
to "release" it. Very much an easy knife to use one handed opening and closing.

I should also say that I have read on other forums about fear of release
during use however, I found this knife to have a confidant way about it
for an EDC around the house kind of knife. For me keeping your finger in the
choil will keep you safe as far as "normal use" goes. My daily use doesn't
go outside of what this knife can do anyway.

This is not at all a flimsy knife. I am very impressed how tight and solid of a
knife it is. First rate build and steel for me and definitely a knife I would call
an excellent buy.

Pin---Thanks for the detailed reply! I just might have to get one. Or maybe I'll wait for the Urban to come out. Darn that Spyderco!! Enjoy your knife.

that orange G-10 looks good :) I think I might be needing one of those soon
