Photos My (small) knife collection

Nothing wrong with that collection Snoow. Give the Ontario Rat 1 or 2 folder a look. The Utilitac 2 also. Excellent blades for the money.
Heard nothing but good about the Rat 1 and 2 seem like awesome knives! I'll have to look into them. Utilitac seems cool too. Really cheap and more my style :)

Nothing wrong with your knife accumulation. If you stick around here, you'll gradually be upping the price tag (as you can afford it of course). That's the way it went for me, and then I started backing off on the $/knife. However, I did buy a TA Davison slippie this year and its' my most expensive knife in terms of what I paid for it. Probably have a few that are technically more valuable.
Yeah the more I look at knives the higher my budget gets haha.

All three are amazing knives for the money.
My daughter has a RAT1. I was really surprised with the overall quality.

Ya gotta start somewhere and you'll learn as you go. There's a lot of great info here and advice, don't be afraid to ask questions. The best advice I can give you is:

1) Buy what you like, in the end you'e the one who has to be happy and live with your choices.
2) This is related to #1, buy the best knives you can afford, if you do that #1 will be easier to achieve and you'll be less likely to be disappointed and it's easier to trade a higher quality knife to trade up thane tyin' or find someone to take cheap junky knives.
3) Decide early what you want to collect and use, when you look at your collection a few years down the road you'll be a lot happier with what you have to pick from.

4) Enjoy the community, talk to the longstanding members when you have a question and hey, spend a few $ to support the forum with a membership and I'm sure
you'll find plenty of great quality blades, new and used for better prices than anywhere else.

It looks like it had a shield at some time... Really beat up. But it doesnt has Victorinox on the blade. Guess your right, just some dollar store knife.
I've had lots of them, and they're pretty horrible, one was my very first knife and at least it lasted long enough for me to learn how to handle it. It was worth 1$, but if my dad remembered there was already one in the junk drawer I coulda had a baby Ruth instead :D

Nobody's gonna look down on you for having it, but your other knives may get offended being next to it and leave ;)

Gotcha. I look at the leek and think "dress knife". If you ever decide to part with it, let me know. Maybe we can work out something.
Yeah PM me I've used it less than a half dozen times and now a days it just sits on my dresser. I think we can work something out :)
