After wanting one one for a long time I went ahead and got it a week ago. First I considered an SNG, but turned out it was too small for me, so I got this. Do I like it? In one word, yes, however it is a bit overpriced, since it costs $100 more than a large Sebenza. But I wanted it and I got it and I will use it like it cost me nothing. For a good reason the Strider's shop only in minutes away from me, and I have a feeling that their unbeatable warranty will be put to test some day.
Anyways first when I got it, I disassembled it and lightly polished, washers, thumbstuds, blade's pivot area and all hardware's visible surfaces. Then I lubed it and put back together which smothed out action a lot. I also reprofiled the edge, using Apex EdgePro for a primary mirror polished bevel and Sharpmaker 40 degree for a secondary, then leather strapped it. I will be EDC-ing in rotation with my Benchmade folders, with casual or work clothes. Here are some pics that I shot with my other knives. Let me know if you like/hate the brushed/polished look of the screws and pivot.

:D I know,my wife also objected. J/K, that is unfinished dining set table with four chairs cost me $40 and we will be leaving them in this apartment when we move out, which probably is going to happen very soon.

maybe he will let us stick our knives in his furniture for some pics. :p

i also recently acquired an smf to go along with my sngcc. im surprised at how well it carries for such a large knife. a little wide if you carry as i do, in my rear right pocket with my wallet, but it still works.

how was the reassembly? ive debated taking both mine apart for a little cleaning.

Of course, I will gladly let you, but I have to do the sticking myself, so you must send me your knives for that. Just state in a note in to what piece of furniture you'd like it to see to be stock.:D

Was not hard. You need a heating iron to break the locktight in the pivot and a wide blade screwdriver about 1/2" wide (I used a flat pry tip on my Atwrench tool) to hold the G-10 side of the pivot while turning the T-10 torx on the other side. I got the instructions from Strider's Unofficial FAQ forum. Just wanted to add that when you put it back together do not over tighten the screws on a handle as it will affect the stiffness of the openning action. I like to be able to disassemble all of my knives. That way I am not affraid using them on anything that may pollute and potentially damage their mechanism.

Is that an older blade, I see it still hss the S30V marking. I thought that they had stopped marking the newer blades.

I've got one here that is less than 1month old and it doesn't have the S30V marking, makes me wonder!

From the Strider site,

"We don't use Paul on ALL of our gear any longer.
When they (BUCK) made the move up to the new place, there was half a year with no heat treat. Paul founded the place we use here, and we still use his procedure. We just can't ship every knife to our ol uncle hot fingers any longer....
So rather than bother with the stamping of the knives he actually does....we just stopped stamping the logo."

How convenient. If the place they're currently using, the place Bos founded, is just as good (using Bos' specs), why bother sending SOME knives to Bos (and not marking them accordingly)?
