My Son is being shipped out to Kuwait! Which Busse?

Ron,
If you need one let me know.
3/16ths or 1/4", Black or Tan handles.
I'll make sure it gets to him Quick if need be.
We'll worry about replacing it later...let's just get one to him.

Just have to say, 1whobuys, you rock... very generous offer, you are an honorable man. We need more people like you in the world.

1whobuys, I have to agree. Don't know if you know Ron, how well you know him, if you do, but that was really nice gesture on your part.

Yup, that was definately a very nice gesture, 1whobuys. Very commendable.

Good luck to your son, man. I will probably have a tour of duty over there eventually...leaving for basic in the Army in January.

Hi ronybear,
like said above, it depends on the most likely use of the knive. The best all around knive is IMO the Steel Heart, if your son wants a lighter knive the Satin Jack is easy to carry and has a well balanced blade. If he prefers smaller knives get the Badger Attack III or the Publik Defender. Get him whatever he prefers, you will make the right choice.
Godspeed to him and his comrades

Schleifalot pretty much read my miind, stole my thoughts and posted before I did. I would generally recommend the SH/E or the NO/E. but given his MOS I question whether or not he will need a Steel Heart for opening mail and making sandwiches. If he has the oportunity to go afield, then the SH or NO will serve him well. If he's int heoffice most of time, a larger knife will sit unused. That being the case, a smaller knife that he would use or a SH/E that he just has would be fine. It's really dependant upon his situation and his desires.

Thankfully he has you behind hime, a Busse-buying supporter.

Godspeed to him and may he use his INFI for a very long time in good health.

ronybear, like 1WB's offer, if he'd like a smaller knife, I've got a DWMS in to Jerry for refinishing. We could have Jerry send it out his way and worry about piddly stuff later. It's gonna depend on how much knife your son feels he may need.

Thanks for all the great suggestions and well wishes guys! I have talked with Jerry and he is getting him a Satin Jack READY as we speak! I hope Jerry will post a photo before he mails it to him! I asked Jerry to work a little of his "MAGIC" on the blade!!! Thanks again, ronybear....

Rony,
Wish Marc luck from all of us here on the forums..... He won't have to worry with that blood thirsty little beasty by his side.... Just tell him to show it who's boss or it may turn on the hand that feeds it.:D

Good luck to your son Ronybear. Be safe. Do what needs to be done. Come home to proud people.

Cheers,
BillyJoeBob
