I got a small box in the mail today, and when I opened it up it was my brand new Kershaw Speed Bump!

BUT!

I was greeted by a gray/black handle!

I'm somewhat miffed, since I chose snapberry specifically because they carried the black/black handle, which was NOT what I received.
 
Yeah, actually the handles have me confused, I've never actually seen the black with black akulon handle in person. Is that what the current production handles look like?
 
the black/black handle is the one straight from the kershaw site (the picture is a link), and was also the one pictured on the snapberry site.

I've sent them an email, hopefully instead of replacing my gray/black with a black/black they give me a sizeable discount on my next order (already planned out, $206.80 shipped). Or, better yet, they do both!
 
I have searched the net upside down and emailed half a dozen stores and no luck what so ever on the Black/Black combo....dag nabbit
 
I just wonder if the black/black handle is another proto/pre-production shot like the Mini-Mojo/Mojito that is on the Kershaw site.
 
It's either be a bad correct image or one done up in Photoshop. A black/black Speed Bump does not exist, not even one. Sorry for the confusion.
 
I think the one on the Kershaw website must be either very early or a proto.
On a well calibrated display the Akulon is a very dark grey, but not really black.
If you look closely, the thumb studs are the flat hex heads from the first production run of the Spec Bumps instead of the current tiered heads.
Also, the santoprene overmold has a much finer texture pattern.
 
the image is very flat in appearance... it looks to be manipulated. Photoshop is the best tool for that...

Got the Gray one (big thanks to KershawGuy for the help) Got a Snapon but still need a CPM154 First Run or just a plain ole CPM154 Spec. The big news is that I got a Ken Onion Forum Bump in the mail today....yay:D
