That is called a "unique" knife, and it's sets yours apart from the hundreds of others that are out there. It in no way impacts the functionality of the knife. If it was me, I would keep it as is knowing that I could pick my knife out of the crowd easily. If you are not happy with it, you can always send it back, but I view it as something to be embraced rather than rejected.
