hey guys, i made a quick intro the other day and was asked to fire up some pics of my gear. i'm in the middle of a move but i had my users in a box so i took'em out for some bad photos (just a cheapo point and click camera.)
So this is the stuff that's always being used, these are the basics.
1-snugpak sleeka force 35 pack-the perfect pack for me in every way, AND holds a guyot 38oz perfectly in either side compartment.
2-maxpedition monkey admin pouch-is my Med kit.
3-EDC vic farmer-fenix LD01 or usually tiablo A1
4-TK scandi bushcrafters-white corian handles, matching belt knife and necker. personally find them too thick for me, 4mm i believe. i'd rather have something slimmer. these can go.
5-Walter Davis- my camp knife chopper.
6-nathan leaton custom-popping sharp
7-MMHW- under-rated knives in my opinion these are their utility skinners and i've used mine to death.
8-lansky puck- only stone or hone i bring in the bush
9-Crump's forge neckers- love all of his work, looking to get some more. these are both glow in the dark handles
10-pocket scandi- M C Grann written on it. just a little carver i use, wicked sharp.
11-just arrived today Bruce Culderson- you guys need to check him out, find him in the makers section, this is my perfect feild blade, may try my hand at a review on it later. i'll be getting more work from Bruce in the near futur i hope.
any more info you'd like just fire up a post.
12-Jack Walden- of Del City Oaklahoma.440c and the sharpest knife i've owned. haven't had the heart to use this one yet. it's outstanding.

so there you have it, prbably half of my accumulation. but these are the best, and the beaters. also have a maxpedition bottle holder on the way, i blame this forum for that purchase. take care and i hope these pics work for me on here! haha. first try.

hey guys thanks for the words. the only thing i left out were my fiskars axes/hatchets, i love those things. that garden hatchet can be had up here sometimes for 10-15$ each canadian. can't beat that! cheaper than a mora!

spooky-i couldn't agree with you more, those were my attempt at a thicker blade, and i think i'll be happy to go back to a thinner stock.

theedge13- i'm from easter canada. i bought that knife on "the auction site that should not be named" i had to check the knife to remember the maker's name and the town was listed so i added the info. it's really a stunner and a wicked slicer. i'd liken it to a large classy custom version of a SAK knife blade. it's an outstanding knife. dont' know anything about the maker though.

welcome to the WS&S forum...

nice selection of knives and gear... you'll fit in just fine...:D

Nice! Looks like that chopper's gotten some use:thumbup: Glad to see it! And it looks like it's in fine company, too:D Nice gear all around!

Looks great. Id like to see that Walter Davis and MMHW knife action pics

Looks good but still ill equipped. After a year you should have at least three more pictures showing your Kifaru packs, Limmer Boots, Busse, Dozier, and CRK knives with at least one picture of all custom knives.

caine-i'll be getting some reviews and better photos out of this bunch in the next week so stay tuned.

Walter-i think the greatest testament to that blade is that i haven't bought any other choppers since! it's my stand alone camp knife without question. great stuff.

Wow! #4 and #12 are amazing looking.

i'll have some better shots up soon. i should be able to get out tomorrow to get them done. keep an eye out. i don't think i can PM until i've upgraded (which i'll get on soon.) but if you have any questions fire me an email at russellmiller at live dot com.

Goatariba,
I hope to see a future pic of my knife with a patina and other signs of hard use! (like the other fine knives you've posted!)

Seeing as I've sold two of my "hunting" knives that the buyers said would be used for bushcrafting and I have a bushcrafter on order.......I'm intrigued! I figured I should check this sub-forum out. I am a hunter and fisherman and work as a forester so this is right up my alley.
OK... if I go ahead and attach a firesteel to my sheath do I have to throw out my Bic lighters????
Bruce
