My Stripped NMFBM

Your work amazes me Ban. The cutting edge literally looks like it is in a liquid state. (Terminator) Like a blob of mercury yet solid!
That NMFBM CG is a work of art with looks that kill!

Beautiful work, as usual.

Hey, Ban, do you happen to remember how thick it was before stripping and then after?

Sorry, I did not get a chance to mic it before.

Good Heavens, man!!

Couldn't you even give the poor coating a little chance??

Did you even chop down one single tree before violating that knife??

You're such a grinder ... ;)

All I chopped down was air before I touched it to the grinder. All of my users have their coating violated asap! :D

 So when do we put it to the test? Awesome job like usual Ban, I can't wait to see that in person! I told Nate I can't make it if we meet up this weekend because of midterms next week, but maybe I can squeeze in a little time.

Your Stripped NMFBM looks better than the LE's by far. I have tan Mags on mine and when I mess up the coat may try to get it off but that will be years down the line for me.

Your Knife Rocks,

Hey, no problem. Was just curious. Did you mic it after the strip job? :D Would like to know how thin those beasts get when you take off the coating.

Awsome work Ban...as always!

Man you save ALOT of money by making your own LE's:thumbup:

It mics out at .237.

Still plenty thick enough  So now you've pretty much got a beautiful thinner version of the LE NMFBM there.

VERY nice Ban (as usual.)

Now you have me thinking about some wood scales...

Ban, have you ever detailed the steps you take in order to re-attach the flared tubes on your blades?

I'd be curious to read it if you have. Especially if there's pictures involved!

Took me a while to find the tutorial... I kept searching only the Busse forums, and there were several names listed as the source of the tutorials varying from randucci, wicked, and finally the person whom I found it under - flatgrinder. It was over in Shop Talk - Bladesmith Q and A:

I hope no one gets upset at me posting this link...

BTW, awesome work Ban, and now I'm thinking I need another Fatty Game Warden to experiment on... :)
