Seems to have gone ok. I have a cast around the pinky and ring fingers. I never saw the surgeon after the surgery, wanted to inquire about a payment plan; still haven't gotten a chance. It feels kinda numb still, those 2 fingers at least. Typing is hard and using the mouse is impossible, gotta use it lefty. That sucks, because I have all these games sitting here I wanted to try I'm borrowing off someone. They must of poisoned me or something, because the apple juice they gave me made me throw it up all the way home. Wondering if I should eat anything heavy or at all. Well, that's my tory and I'm sticking to it...

Tuff -

Glad to hear you got the surgery and that everything went OK. The nausea is probably the result of the anesthesia - assuming you had general anesthesia.

Hope the healing goes quickly and well. You did the right thing.

The drugs they gave me made me throw up a ton too. i had that aweful taste in my mouth for at least 3 days.

some of the most interesting colors came out, like after i ate a popsicle... blue!!!!

anyway, it's good to hear you're not gotta be broken for the rest of your life. just a few weeks.

Did they put you under? That stuff + the pipe they put down your throat can do that to you.

Glad to hear you're doing ok. Glad to see you got it done! Like everyone said, don't worry about the pay plan, they can't take your finger back!

Glad you had it done-It was a "TUFF" decision made by a "tuff" guy who was "TUFF"
thru it all. I Think the delay and the questioning made it "TUFF" not to do it. I think the "TUFF" part is going to be putting up with the media while you aren't at work.

[glad to hear you went through with it. you will be glad you did for the rest of your life. russ

I have also been following your threads and am very happy for you. That post you made saying you were "going to folders only, no more fixed blades" really shook me up

As was pointed out, nobody will be coming to repossess your fingers - hopefully your surgeon is as aware of this as anyone and will work out something flexible for you (no pun intended). Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

You made the right decision.Work out a plan that is realistic for you.In the future try your best to get health insurance.Have a speedy recovery.

Didn't have time to work out a payment plan? Does that mean it was free?

Oh yeah if the repo man shows up carrying a project 1. Run like hell!

Good goin', Tuff. I am happy that the surgery went well. Some slight numbness and some nausea after this procedure is normal. Symptoms should be largely gone by tomorrow for the nausea, and in a few days for the numbness, which is due to the swelling secondary to the incision, and the tugging and pulling at the tissue during surgery.

Please feel free to e-mail me should you have any additional questions, and also I would appreciate knowing how your recovery goes.

A message to all: prevention is much better than cure. Having said this, I must admit to a few scars on my hands, one of them fairly recent <blush>.

Good luck, Tuff, and hang in there. Walt

Tuff, I'm glad you got it done. Now you have to follow the doctors orders on rehab.
