My Surgery

Don't be a worry wart about the money thing like me Tuff. Believe me, they WILL send you a bill. Don't try and pay 'em anything til then, and even if it says you owe 'em a bazillion dollars, don't sweat it. Just send 'em what you can reasonably afford. It will take 'em thirty days to credit your payment and generate another bill to send. Repeat above indefinitly. Be nice to hurt parts. long soapy soakings will help loosen it up as it heals, Vitamin E and coco butter too.

Good luck with your recovery. Having had a similar surgery, I know what you are going through.

After the finger heals you will need extensive PT to get the hand working again.

Stick with it, it is worth it.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping for everything to heal ok (it better)
question for everyone - if you had an injury, and the doctor told you he could fix it no problem, would you pay? I don't say this because I don't intend to pay, but rather wonder if a person SHOULD pay. A reduced bill for failed surgery seemed fair to me, but different people have different thoughts. Anyone care to share theirs?

Oh Axel - PT mean Patient Treatment/Therapy?

The medical profession is one of those strange birds that get to charge you whether procedure was a success or not. If I took my car in to get fixed and it came back with the same problem I don't pay. But I guess there are no guarantees with medicine. Don't get me wrong I think doctors do amazing things, and I don't envy them but that said, they always seem to charge you whether you get better or not.
Also I believe PT stands for physical therapy
Glad to hear you had the surgery- God speed in your recovery
Eric

Tuff, come on now. If You did some work for somebody, would you think it fair for your employer to just say, sorry, I've decided not to pay you?

Again, my best wishes for your speedy recovery. Someday the money you spent to have your fingered repaired will long be forgotten, and your hand will still work properly. No doctor can ever guarantee a satisfactory outcome. Especially when a wound has not received prompt attention. What you will pay for is the Chance to have your hand work properly again. Be well Tuff.

Tuff, as another onlooker, I'll just say I'm glad you had things taken care of. All the best in a speedy, full recovery.

As for the computer games, I have two words. Track ball!
