Nice gear, I remember a well known YouTube whackjob didn't like that Spyderco but I am quite sure it is a quality tool. It sure looks cool too! Your picture reminds me I need to work on my orienteering.

Not really. Just thought someone might like the picture.
Very pretty , but expensive and some reviews complain of slippery handle .

But the Ruger is nice !

I like the blade shape. Looks like it may be better suited for marshal application over woodcraft ( I’m also not an expert at anything ).

It came in this sheath and the whole thing was in a nice zippered case.View attachment 1975410
Sal sure knows how to put together an attractive package.

I use a Condor Greenland axe for general work, and if pressed into long term duty would have no issues that I could perceive. I usually pair it with a bastard file.

As mentioned by a few posters, the Fiskars is also pretty practical and inexpensive, albeit maybe not the coolest tool in the shed.

Unfortunately I have heard nothing but fairly poor things about the Spyderco tomahawk, which is a shame on a few fronts, most of them being complaints about the handle transmitting shock quite badly and having poor ergonomics for extended use. That being said, I have no firsthand experience with them. I do wonder if anyone has tried making a hickory handle for one instead, and if it alleviated things at all.

For $300 , should come with a great handle , IMO ! 🤔

The only negative reviews I have seen are from two reviewers on UTube. Is there any other sources, preferably from a BF member?

A huge waste of money,I'm embarrassed for U guys to carry such a inferior product. Spent too much time on axe,and zero time on handle. Small diameter, no grip, just a all around joke. I'm sure it's going too be a act of God to return. Extremely disappointing, for close to $200.00. Just stick to knives guys. Very frustrating, I was expecting so much more. Go to Home Depot an grab any carpenter hammer, and design handle off of that. I shouldn't have to redesign your axe. Just Sad!!

Head rocks...handle not thought out at all. It's painful and exhausting to use. The 1st reviews i read made this rock. Post purchase and practical implementation, i was quite disappointed and dug a lil deeper review wise. Found most folks agreed with my assessment. Unstable, difficult to manage, and extremely slippery. I wrapped the handle w paracord and the shock was still very uncomfortable and exhausting. Not a good throwing hatchet but may be good for self defense during the zombie apocalypses "if you can keep ahold of it "

Wow those are pretty scathing. A shame really, as it's an aesthetically pleasing piece.
