I've been planning on making a WSK style knife as a gift for my brother in law who is a Marine stationed in California.
This has been in the making for over a year as I was waiting until I had the right equipment and enough experience to pull it off.

I decided to work with what I had and made a large bellied blade the a tall grind near the handle and a short by the tip. This was done I lieu of the hollow grind found on the WSK.

It's made of 1/4"A2 heat treated by BOS and has G10 scales fastened with G-flex and corby bolts.

The sheath was pretty tough to design and this is the second attempt. The first is in the trash.

I'd love your honest input.

With a knife like that I would slit the top of the kydex an inch or two down the spine of the knife. It will still hold the knife tight.
That's a very cool knife. You did a good job!

Not really a WSK and I mean that in a GOOD way. ;)
