My TGLB is pretty, she's soooooo pretty! ( well, she's close)

Home made G-Rex, looks great! I still think I like your KZ the best though :). Great work !

Nice work, looks amazing. Good choice on the brass I think...matches the horn nicely. I know what you mean about the dilema of when to stop grit wise...it's so satisfying to keep going finer and finer.. what you gain in beauty you lose with function. I started wrapping highly polished handles with 2mm leather string...which makes the handle super grippy...but you can easily remove it.
Looking fwd to your final product.

Thanks guys!

The final polishing and shaping usually take the longest for me, cause I try not to rush myself, and after a bit of sanding up to a certain grit ( usually 150 or so) ill use it for assorted tasks from chopping, batoning etc, to make sure it feels right and if it needs more shaping/ smoothing/ polishing. I've seen musk ox that has been polished up where you almost get lost in it, sometimes highly polished bone still has some good grippiness to it. We shall see, never worked with this stuff before

I've polished buffalo horn up to 3000, followed by a buffing wheel with green compound. Beautiful...and It's amazing how grippy it still feels...then again I never used it wet. The horn on yours is jewel like...it would be hard not to polish it super fine...

She's basically shaped how I want, just have to fine tune the edges a bit, probably use her for a few day to get a feel for it first though

Yeah, I hear you, I'm wondering about the canvas micarta now, never been to fond of highly polished stuff, but it might make the horn pop even more, but I am kind of liking the dull look at the moment.

And thanks guys for the kind words!

And yes, that is tan/ black

Oh man...my fingers hurt just thinking about polishing that blood groove. And there's one on each side!!!!

Nice work bro. She is a real looker.....& keeper!

Took it to a quick 220, did some chopping, etc. held up great ( to be honest I was a little worried about the amount of surface area for the epoxy to hold due to the LB treatment)
