I finally finished my third piece. Took me about 3 months but it's finallt done.

New things I tried:
Dying leather
Finishing the wood with something (not just a high polish)
Pinning
Using Damascus
Filework

Things I learned:
- finish ALL the parts BEFORE you put the thing together
- Watch out for grinding too thin.
- When heat treating something thin, take it out of the fire every now and then to check
- When pinning less is more
- Fe-CL is cool stuff

and now, pictures:

Yeah, nice knife! Takes guts to use damascus on your third knife... ;) I would recommend cleaning up the bottom area of the handle, looks like it could use a little material removed to even out the line between the tang and scales. Very nice knife, thanks for sharing.

Thanks, I got the damascus for a good price. I'm still not sure about whether it took an edge well enough or not. Time'll tell.

I'll have a look at the bottom of the knife though. Thanks for the tip.
