Bruce that looks great! What's that handle material?

I blame these guys for my obsession as well. :D It seems there's no better place to learn....

Thanks man,
Its greyish greenish mammoth. Pretty stuff that pictures cant show it off.

I love those lines Bruce. How long is it closed? (Sorry if I missed that) It looks like it would be right at home it the front pocket of my jeans, with that boat shapped bottom. I really like it..... I would love it if it didn't have a half stop. :D

Thanks very much. No half stop?
Its 3 3/4" closed and 6 5/8" open.

Are you saying it dosn't have a half stop?.... Yes I would like one with no half stop....... Take me to your leader. :O)

I have the #003 almost finished. Just need to touch up a couple tiny spots and sharpen it. I must admit that these things are a heck of a challenge.

edited to add: This one is sold. I am a full time maker and hope you guys dont think I am trying to sell something here. I need help and support from you all and just appreciate the comradery here in this forum. My pistol/knives take up most of my day but I thoughly enjoy these slip joints and look forward to making them better. T Bose and Kerry Hampton are to blame for this new found obsession.

Just have to blame someone for these darn things???? don't we.... :D:thumbup:

Looking really good Bruce, keep it up.

I can add you to the same list Todd. I've admired your work for years too.
The tutorials they put together are on my favorites list.

I don't think making slipjoints ever gets 'faster'. But, they can sure get better with each one made, and you seem to be 'speeding' right along, Bruce, with #003! Very nice.

Very nice scales on this,so much so that it MIGHT look even better in Barehead style.

What's the spring/snap on this one like, heavy or light would you say?

An excellent knife, very good proportions on it.It won't be too long before you are giving those Bose ,Knife-Had characters a few sleepless nights:D

Thank you for showing us this, hope there will be another soon:thumbup:

Barehead, like no bolsters? Maybe someday yeah.
The spring is snappy and on the medium/light side I would say. Its not a nail breaker for sure and even my bad ears can hear it talk. I like the bushing method of these last two for a smooth action.
T Bose and K Hampton worried? haha I doubt it. :D You made my day though.

It's quite the complement to have had a small part in contributing to your new found addiction, but Tony's work is the standard. I'm happy to be a messenger.

I think you're hooked good and proper, now. ;) I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work with slip joints.

Great lookin' knife Bruce.
