My Thoughts On The ESEE-4

The 4 is a nice knife. Here is mine pared with a Spec-Ops sheath. There is a SAK in the pouch.

The ferrocium rod I have came with a thin metal striker on a split ring. I never tried it, but I bet you could put a thin strip of sheet metal in between the sheath slabs to use as a striker.

That was a partial reason I swapped to the BK16. The ergos on the ESEE to me were just meh.. also the handle was a little small. I normally wear an xl glove and found space on the ESEE a little lacking when not using the choil...

And that is a great point about the price. Literally everything is more expensive these days. Not the Esee 4! You can still find them with sheath for under $100, which is what they were 6-7 years ago.

Here in EU you have to pay 180 usd for base model..

I looked into that for my new ESEE 4 S35VN, but none of the TKC ala carte scales are rounded like the 3D scales.

That's what I see as well. All the TKC extended 3/4 scales appear to be flat. Correct?
