My thoughts on the Spyderco Double Stuff 2

Hi Hero,

Thanx much for the review. 'Twas a long time in development. Hard combination to produce. I'm currently using the CBN side to re-profile my "Respect" model (8" blade).

Damnit Sal, now why'd you have to go and drop a bomb like that, and then walk away?

Great product, I'd like a medium with CBN too. The key to using the fine is a very light touch and scrub it clean often.

What these guys are suggesting a "medium/CBN" combo would be great for field use and I would definitely buy a couple if they do come to market. Because for field use that combo would fill a void for a lot of people's cutting edge needs.

Actually the more I think about it I would like to see a variety of DOUBLESTUFF 2 stones and hopefully one in diamond too. At some point I would even like to see one with a Ultra-Fine option.

Sal, will there be a Medium? And if you're feeling frisky, care to share your thoughts on why you went with Fine?
Thx everybody!

Hi Mr. Bond,

I felt the coarse CBN and fine grit would provide the best option. No plans at this time to make more. we'll watch reaction.

Sal,

I thought it would be cool to ask

How do you like to use the double stuff 2?

Do you set it on the a table or us in hand?

How do you like to finish your edge with it?

Thanks, Shawn

Hi Shawn, I use it in my hand. I like to finish with the white stone.

Hey Sal, very cool
I'm very curious
Do ya Mircobevel with the white or just deburr at the same angle or work up a burr on the white?
I wanna play with it and get a Sal edge haha
