My Ti-Lite won't take an edge....

I think it's the angle, as noted earlier. On mine, to get the edge good, I use a diamond stick which allows me to adjust the angle as needed to apex.
 
Yeah, If FLITZ unknowingly migrated onto your edge bevel...she'll be dullern' a moose nose. That FLITZ has its uses, but I routinely use Simchrome or Blue Magic. Meguiars ALL METAL is a great white compound-style polish...Ive dulled Carbon 5 knives carelessly polishing AND stroppin'....many a time, believe you me...OP: Send the knife to Ventura...they'll fix it, maybe even replace it if the HT is not up to par.
