My Treat from Nova Scotia, Canada - Grohmann Mini Russell Lock

Looks like a great little knife. I would love to give one a try. Have seen the fixed blades quite a bit. My dad actually had one and it was a knife that has always been a strong memory for me. Likely one of the knives that started my love of cutlery. Sadly the knife was stolen years ago :(
 
That is pretty cool. I have a fixed blade version, but didn't know there was a lock back. :faint:

From what I understand they starting making them recently. Although I see the use for the lockback I dont need one that often, so I got a smaller pocketable buddy. You can find them for around $70 give it or take. Good steel, razor sharp with little effort even on the bottom of a mug and the edge doesn't roll easily at all. So far so good!

I don't know if you are fond of bushcraft but Ray Mears uses one (another slim and FFG) pocket knife from Grohmann too. The one he uses is the pocket knife they have made for a long time now "Grohmann slimline".
