My two Civilians, one older and one newer.

I bought the older one with the rubber inserts, which I believe is the earliest version, at a gun&knife show around 1992. The other I bought last year online. The latter's tip is less pointy, which I understand was to avoid breakage issues, although the tip of my older is still intact.
