My Upcoming Military Deployment

Thanks for all of the support everyone. John is absolutely correct about the time frame, I should have clarified that earlier. The thing is, mentally I'm preparing myself to be stuck with the whole 18 months, because with my luck that's what will happen. If I get done earlier, hey that's just a bonus. But if I start thinking it will probably be no longer than 12 or 14 and then it gets extended, I'll lose my mind. Pessimists are never dissapointed.

Right now I'm just trying to get this stupid house done before I go, that and have what fun I can manage on short notice. I don't believe I'll need anything material for the foreseeable future, but if that changes you'll all be the first to know.

Dang Kurt, I thought you'd escaped us. Sucks that you got called back when you just started getting everything in place. That's why I went ahead and re-enlisted out here. Got the tax free bonus and go without the inactive reserves. Good luck to you man.

I'll just keep praying for all of you, every forumite and friend, every servceman I don't know, and for our beloved nation to somehow make it through this horrible dark passage. That is what it is. It may be televised, you may get to eat a burger and slurp a beer now, but the later might get you. It's later a device goes off, if a tube of gook is released, the bridge goes out just when it can't possibly be any worse. The sun is shining and we have Xbox 360, but it is the later that I'm worried about, that jepardizes all of us.

So thank God good men are trying to stop this thing. Bless them. Even if Europe feels comfortable. I'm praying for those of you on the line. A whole lot of humans dont see it, but there's a great big line.
