Sounds TREMENDOUS:thumbsup:...now, we hold our breaths that it doesn't turn into a Gov't. Fustercluck ...

I have very solid route guys in my neighborhood and my local PO has been very helpful...You can set your watch by the USPS main hub in Nashville...so I have high hopes this will only make things better!

My USPS® Free Upgrade Offers Preview of Incoming Mail

We are excited to announce that the My USPS application will soon be upgraded to offer you more benefits and convenience.

No action is required from you - you will retain your My USPS benefits, but will also have access to Informed Delivery® a new, free feature that gives you the ability to see a digital preview of your incoming mail. Informed Delivery allows you to view grayscale images of the exterior, address side of your household’s letter-sized mailpieces* on a computer, tablet, or mobile device. This new feature offers the convenience of seeing what is coming to your mailbox - anytime, anywhere.

Now when you log in to your My USPS account, you will be able to track packages and view a preview of your letter-sized mailpieces in one, integrated dashboard. Your dashboard will display mailpiece images for a seven-day period; you can also opt to receive these images via email notification.

To learn more about Informed Delivery notifications, please visit the Informed Delivery FAQs. We are proud to offer you more insight into your mail delivery, and thank you for being a valued USPS customer.

Sincerely,
Your United States Postal Service®

Been using that for a few weeks. The package tracking is handy (similar to UPS' "My Choice") but I ended up disabling the email and text notifications for the Informed Delivery.

It does show a clear snapshot of all letter-sized pieces being delivered to your address, and aside from providing "too many" notifications, it works very well.

So you're saying we can customize the experience to utilize the "snapshot" only? Thanks for the mini-review! :)

Half of the time my dashboard doesn't show that I have any incoming packages...when in fact I do. They usually then pop up in the dashboard when the packages are already at my local post office or have already been delivered. New features? How about making the old features work correctly first.

Never had that problem...it's been quite accurate here ... lucky, I guess.

I've been getting email notifications with pictures of letter sized mail for about 6 weeks. It seems to work very well. So far, I've gotten everything they sent a picture of and nothing that they haven't as far as letter sized mail is concerned.

My Dashboard notifications for packages have been acting a little strange lately though. Sometimes I'm notified and sometimes I'm not.

I've also noticed that if I add a tracking number to my Dashboard for a package that I shipped to someone else, the next time that person has a package shipped to them, I will get a notification. That really threw me off at first because I thought the packages were coming to me until I saw the delivery update.

I'm not real fond of getting tracking numbers and notifications for packages that aren't even mine so I stopped adding outgoing packages to my Dashboard and I just track those the old manual way instead.
