After hearing about the new Rambo movie that's coming out, I decided to make my own version of a Rambo knife. I watched the movies when I was a kid.

5/16" 5160. Blade length: 11" and width over 2". I still need to double cut the saw teeth, grind the bevels, heat treat it and put the scales on, but here's a preview:

It's gonna be a mean chopper. :D

 that nife does look MEAN. Its enough to make the sheeple wet their panties :D

Man, TruGrit or Pop's are gonna make some money off you in belts! That looks like it's going to be awesome! Looking forward to seeing it shaped and edged!

Looks great please post it when you get it done to see. Outstanding from what I can see. A+----------------

That is almost what I was looking for in a knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. I like it alot. I need to keep up with this thread.

Does it make that cool "Duunnn Duuunnnnnh!" sound when you pull it out, like Rambo's did? (just kidding- I love that part about the movies, every time Rambo pulls out his knife, you get a close-up and a cool dramatic sound.)

Will you be making more of those?

That's cool as hell ,but I'd need a back brace and someone else's help just to pick that thing up! It looks like it comprises over 10% of my body weight!

Can't wait to see the bevels ground...

Would like to see progress pictures myself, you got us all hooked on that beast

You'll either loose weight or get bigger forearms working on that monster :D

It's too bad you had to use such thin steel.
Please tell me you'll clay coat this and heat treat as such? PLEASE!
