vintage paper micarta handle scales
This blade was designed with a slightly long handle so that when choked up it is pretty fast for a chopper and when held near the back allows heavier chops. It is paper cutting sharp but is relatively thick behind the edge. The finish is Just mill and heat treat scale. The sanded parts have darkened a little with oiling. So the patina will change with use and time. There is a slight wave on the left side main grind line closer to the tip. The pommel jimping is meant to be held still over the campfire while you pull back the fero rod, if you start your fires with your knife. Handle is removable and there is a groove in the tang for the hardness testing. Feel free to ask questions.
