I reckon the choil I have in mind is something fairly subtle. Think of it more as a slightly angled or rounded ricasso with contoured bolster. I don't really need a locking blade but I find it's nice to have the little extra margin of safety that a slippie choil offers--and you can get a four fingered grip on a smaller handle. Imagine a double-stack Spyderco Kiwi 3 with a couple of light-use tools offered with the Kiwi 1 scale materials. As for the jimping, it would have to be very fine or even substituted with some filework...
