To be quite totally honest, sure, it may not be the biggest "knife emporium" like Smokey Mountain, but Bass Pro Shops' knife section beats Cabelas.

the cabelas by my house has a pretty good selection. benchmades, spyderco, ZT, crkt, kershaw, buck, schrade, etc. basically all the mainstream knives are there. I may have to check out a bass pro though and see what I think!

I didn't watch your video. Not all chain stores carry the same products. A Bass pro in Missouri will not have the same things in-stock as one in Minnesota. Using store-brand identity in this fashion is not representative when comparing store-brands.

In general, buying most things at these big box stores will degrade your wallet more than online. Nice for window shopping but not much else.

Agreed the one in Hooksett NH has a pretty limited selection and the prices are sky high. Like obnoxiously high.

Nothing personal, but it might be better for you to be a contributing member of this forum before you come in to try to soak us for clicks to your Youtube channel. I didn't watch your video.

Our local Cabela's is ridiculous. Last year they just started carrying Esee knives. I mentioned to the guy at the counter that I have most of the Esee line and a 4 on me at the moment. He said they are good but way over priced. I sadly had to tell him that they had them way over priced. He was shocked when I said I got my Junglas for $70 less than what they were asking.

I also spotted a fake PM2 there:

I won't buy knives from bass pro or cabelas. There prices are insane, I went into get a bk11 while on the road for work (stupid airline lost my luggage for 3 days, and I feel naked without any steel on me) but the store I was in wanted $79 for a bk11. That's Higher than even buying from kabar direct.

BPS is a good place to fondle knives, but there's no way I'm paying what they're asking for their stuff when I can get it much cheaper elsewhere.

My Bass Pro shop has a good selection to handle and look at, but way too expensive.

The only knife I found at a BPS for a reasonable price was a Buck Marksman for $75. I think they were $110 last time I went in, though.

Agreed. Just post your statement and all can chime in. Having to leave Blade Forums to 'view' your comment gets old quick.

Same for most retail chains. I was in Gander Mountain on black Friday. They have a large Benchmade display. Everything was full retail or above. Standard Griptilian was $159.

like all corporate retail stores, they stock what turns and sells. so each one has somewhat varying products and brands and inventory, etc. drives me crazy as where i live all the grocery stores carry what my neighbors buy and like and that is mainly ice cream and frozen meals. which i have no interest in. the bakery stocks cakes and junk food, very little bread, etc. these bass pros are somewhat like that. if knives sell...... they stock them, if they don't...... they stock very little. it makes sense, but drives me crazy and i end up driving further to get what i want.

Okay. That was good! Not one person should listen to what this joker has to say......

The Bass Pro Shops in south Jersey has a pretty bad knife section. Actually, the BPS kind of sucks in general. I wouldn't buy one from store like that because of the prices, but I at least like to get a feel for a knife in person. Which is difficult due to the selection. Unless someone likes to hold Gerbers in the plastic package...

Is this guy f'ing serious???

First... Don't pull your knife and stab someone during an argument bc you don't wanna get your knife confiscated?? How about bc you don't wanna spend the next 40 years in prison for attempted man slaughter...losing that pos $15 knife is the least concern...

Second...if I'm sitting in my car and someone is in front of my car with the intention to do me harm, I'm not going for a knife in the glove box, I'm gonna mow the sob over and call it a day lol.

I've looked at the Cabelas knife selection and bought their Buck 192 that they had made for them. Bass Pro and Gander, I have looked, but never really looked hard at their selection. Sportsman Warehouse in my area carries a fairly nice selection of knifes. Price is a tad high, but not ridiculous. I have purchased most of my Spyderco's there.
