Is their bamboo inside the leather?

Sorry to mislead you. There is no bamboo in this leather sheath. That bamboo is the victim of the waki next to it.
In order to carry my waki to the place where thicker and taller bamboo grows, I stitched up a temporary leather sheath which is too soft by itslef to protect waki properly.
