My walking stick broke

I have a Komperdell stick (forgot the model) that has been through hell and is still going strong...

My two have done hundreds of 'k's without any problems. I'm definetly a convert to lightweight poles. I wonder if you sent the pole into Komperdell - they would probbaly put on a new locking mechanism for you.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I sent an email to Komperdell this weekend, so we'll see how they respond.

I like good solid wooden hiking sticks and staffs too. I have scads of them in my back room where I keep all the outdoors stuff, but they don't collapse very well to take on an airplane like the Komperdell does (or at least used to until this latest mishap).

Wish me luck in fixing it!
