My Wedding Cake Knife done!

Thanks for the complement RL! I think this is the best handle I have done yet. I am surprised just how much a small amount of material in the wrong place makes a handle feel....not right. I have about 3 blades that the grip profile could be a little more roomy in the spaces where your fingers wrap around.

I think I am ready to try my hand at upgrading to a knifemaker status and see if i could sell some.

As far as the wife letting me keep my blade, I could just say something like I think I need to stabalize the grain regrowth from becoming too active and just hide this in my shead :) What is active grain structure anyway??? Sounds like a real issue though huh?

Thanks guys, I think I'll send this link to her at work today.......she will enjoy reading all the comments.

Whew.....well. Wedding is all behind us :D

I'll have to hope someone got a picture of us using it. Glad to say the knife is getting new stains from kitchen use now :D

Here we are......Brian, Donnie (Step son) and Sheri (Boss Lady :D )

Boss Lady,, you're on the right track already :D
congrad's again and work hard at it, it's not always an easy street to ride
but can be a good one , you'll have a few bumps in the road.
The wife and I will be at #27 in Aug.. I can't believe it  :)

Very nice picture. Wishing you the best, it only gets better you know :D so who uses the knife most, you or boss lady?

I hate to say this but the knife she uses the most is a dad gum ginsu!

I am going to make one that copies it so hopefully she'll like the carbon steel in time...

She likes putting them in the dishwasher so thats a no no with mine...excuse me OURS :D

Here is the only image of the knife in use  . Guess no one thought it was as important as me

I tucked the blade away from wandering lil' hands.....but thought you'd like to se it.
