Everytime I visit the mainland it seems to rain and this weekend just gone was no exception !
I was planning to near where Bushman 5 hikes but as the main highway is prone to landslides it would have meant us having to take a 5 hour detour to get back......no thanks !
We decided to play it safe and catch a ferry to Bowen Island.

This was the eerie view as we approached the Island.....

Dude, that first pic looks like you're going to hike on Skull Island. King Kong is gunna come out any second and you're gunna have to give him a big dose of actright with the TBT.

I was saying the same thing to Mrs Pit, I felt like Van Helsing !!!:D

Looks like ya got a little wet. Reminds me of camping around Forks on the Olympic peninsula.

Looks like a good day out with the family.

The first pic looks erie like at the start of the film 'The Mist' or if you remove the houses a bit like a scene from 'The 13th Warrior'. Anyway you cut it that's some nice country.

It's da fire verm.

Rain or shine, fog or, well, more rain, every time I see pitdog's photos, I tell myself "time to move to BC".

Great looking shots, as always. I love the mist - reminds me of "The 13th Warrior", minus the vikings.

All the best,

- Mike

maisy looks cold...:o

Very nice pictures pit. It was freezing over here today. Not that cold by temperature (-5oC), but a constant blasting wind brought the wind chill on.

Great pictures, a u, and it's good to see you get the lovely Mrs. Pit out for a hike once in awhile.
