I am truly a lucky, if not blessed, man.
My wife worked with Larry O. in Peru (thank you Larry) to get me a cool 51st birthday present. #132/250 of the 970 WBC Dagger.

And, she is trying to convince me to go to the BCCI gig (my concern is her ability to ride her scoot that far...just had hip replacement). She even said she'd be ok with me riding up alone. But I like being with her.

What a great woman.

Anyway, BEAUTIFUL knife. happy b-day 2 me (click the pic):

Hey Goose,
Happy Birthday. I had mine two weeks ago. I think your wife knows what a good influence we all are on you, so take her advice and get both of you up here. I'd love to be able to toss a few back with you.
Mike

Let her take the train up and pick her up at the station. She will arrive with a rested hip and you’ll be good to go. Happy belated birthday, Goose. Nice knife.

Thank you Brothers!
I am happy to have lived long enough to find you clowns here ;) Like Five-0 Mike said, you're a great influence (but not on the wallet!!!).

The 970 is flat out gorgeous.
Like how the stag is a bit wider at the pommel end. The multi colored metal on the handle on the hilt. The smooth ridges around the handle.

WISH I COULD EDC IT!!!!

Hey Goose,
Inquiring minds want to know....did you provide any hints for that particular knife or does your better half really have that good of instincts as to what constitutes a cool Buck knife??
Mike

(Envious of Goose for having a wife that knows a good knife when she sees one!)

happy birth day goose!
your blessing is beside you and not on your belt! ;)
they are truly our better half!:thumbup:
i would love to meet her and you there at buck mountain...
but if you go alone could i have a ride on the scoot?:D
and i wont ware my kilt when we ride... scouts promise!!!;)

Well GD, you have a point..."why not?".
I don't plan on selling it plus I always carry a hefty folder for heavy duty or questionable stuff (today that folder is a 850 Bravo).

I'm gonna put a felt pad on the inner snap back of the sheath so the snap doesn't dig/scratch into the elk.

Gonna start EDC'ing it today. I'm nuts...but ya only live once in a world with Buck knives...I think.

Look how clean and straight it cuts through SPAM!!! Actually, I used a SPAM slicer (yes, I do have one for real) but couldn't resist the photo op.

Mike...
I was looking at the 2008 catalog and was yakking to her about the WBC knives. She was on the mailing list from our Buck Brother Forever in Peru and had just read his e-mail that very morning. Think she knew I didn't have that dagger and since the Kalinga version was out of stock in Peru, she opted for that one as opposed to the Dorado.

THANKS FOR THE B-DAY greetings Brothers! And, you gents are correct. A great wife is a true gift from The Lord. And one that understands our addiction is a plus :)
