She got it from me. She uses a knife daily at work to cut her apples and other lunch stuff. I've always talked about replacing her grocery store paring knife that was as dull as a butter knife, but she said she didn't want anything fancy.

I found a very well priced Bark River Mikro-Canadian on these forums and picked it up for her. I've never handled one before and didn't what to expect, but that knife feels and performs a lot bigger than it really is. It's the perfect size to keep from scaring some of the sheeple in the cafeteria. Heck, most people probably wouldn't even notice her using it.

It's a cool knife and she's proud to use it. :D I can't wait to get her out on the trail and see her carrying that thing.

I really like how the handle is a full three finger handle and the blade is very short.

Great. My wife's first knife was a Breeden kat. I also convinced her to carry, and built for her, a PSK to carry in her purse. It is even stuck in a make-up bag for camouflage.

Now that's a very good idea. I have one I made that stays in her diaper bag and also one in her vehicle. She doesn't carry a very big purse so I'll have to get creative.

Nice. My MCII is, probably, my most carried/used knife. I keep it, and a Surefire E1L, in a Adirondack pocket sheath from KSF and it's the perfect EDC/dayhike knife. Handles like a much bigger blade.

nice score... she's going to love it.. the mikro-canadian is a great little knife... i have had mine for years.. it's one of my favorite EDC knives..
