My wife is having a rough time...2 surgeries in 8 days.

I wish you best luck and a fast recovery for your wife.

Try to keep looking at it the bright side. With so much bad luck happening in only one week,
there can’t be any misfortune left for your family for the rest of your life. I hope this long lifetime of luck will start for you as soon as possible!

I thank you all from my heart for the kind words and prayers. I'm not quite ready yet to put a hose from the tailpipe through the window of my car, but this bad luck has to end soon.

My wife called this morning, and she sounded pretty loaded up on pain meds, but other than that, at-least she is still alive, and we don't have to worry about her appendix blowing up, since it's gone.

So somehow we have to live off of my measly little paycheck.

The bright side in all this is that she has good medical insurance, so at-least we won't be faced with a 1/2 million dollar hospital/surgical bill...At-least not all of it.

Sorry guys, but I just had to "talk" with someone...I'm slightly frazzled.

Our prayers are with you and your wife, may her recovery be swift and pain nil.
Jim

Yah, I joke alot about "I'd hit it" and Paris & Tara Reid, but my wife (we've been married for 25 years) really is my only true love, and I'd be seriously lost without her. I swear that if she were to die before me, I WOULD put a hose from the tailpipe of my car through the window and "check out" of this life.

Never even joke about that, I'm betting she'd not want you to even consider
something along that line and wording it isn't a good thing, so fire up and
walk straight man, I know you're tougher than that, but, that's not goin'
to happen so it's all moot!
G2, right behind ya, keep on steppin' fast!

Dan, I am sorry to hear of the Mrs. condition. Prayers sent out for a speedy recovery and well wishes for the all-around situation.

BETTER DAYS ARE JUST AROUND THE CORNER, chip up and hold it high . That very special lady in your life needs you more now then you know. And by taking good care of her, will occupy your thoughts.

Good friends and the BF family are always here for you at anytime.

Forget the tailpipe!

Well, I just returned from visiting my wife...Or should I say from watching her sleep. They have her pretty dopped up with pain meds...Some sort of a synthetic morphine. I had the Dr. (the surgeon who operated on her) lower her doseage, as she's pretty zombied-out, and is talking like a drunk. He said that she'll be in the hospital for a "few days"...

Also, the Dr. said that her appendix really didn't look all THAT bad, but they removed it anyway. He said something about a small part of her bowel was thickened and inflamed, so they are giving her meds to clear that up. He said that was where her pain was coming from, as it is directly under where her appendix was.

Damn...It really hurts to see my wife this way.:(.

Thanks for the update.

I hope that tomorrow will bring a better day for your wife and yourself.

If she can put up with you, I'm sure she is more than tough enough to handle this. :D

So what kind of candy does your wife like?

Thinking and sending smoke for both of you.

Keep her smiling as much as ya can Dann. ;).

Brother -- I DEFINITELY know that feeling.

We don't have much to worry about, though. Pretty sure we're both a lot more fragile than our wives!

Remember -- the ladies are very, very tough. Just give her a little time and she'll be telling you what to do (and how to do it) again.

I hope she makes a full and quick recovery Dann.
My thoughts are with you and yours during this time.

Just think positive buddy, negativity will getcha no where.:thumbup:
