My wife's blog about women peeing in the woods...

I tried posting this before but failed :(

Your wife is much more comprising than my wife. Let me show you what I mean.

My first wife went backpacking with me many times, the longest was 5 days/4 nights, and I don't remember any drama with the bathroom operations.

My wife has been trying to master it when hunting, she's got overalls on and about 5 layers of clothes so I dont think a funnel would work unless I hooked up some hose for her so it could be made directional....which is not a bad idea.

One of the guys that I hunt with complains in really cold weather about having on 6 inches of clothes vs. his 4 inch p**is.

I know someone that has an old schoolbus that they use for a hunting vehicle. In the back they have a big funnel attached to the wall with a hose that goes through a hole in the floor, for in-transit operations.

At night, even in the middle of the night, even if it's freezing out, my wife makes me get up and go with her into the woods to pee.

After my wife’s bear encounter, she now packs her “shenis” and her pistol! :D

That’s pretty funny. I’ve been very fortunate, this is all her idea and desire to section hike the AT even if some of it is solo.

My first wife went backpacking with me many times, the longest was 5 days/4 nights, and I don't remember any drama with the bathroom operations.

The only serious drama was her late night encounter with a bear; she doesn’t want to get caught squatting with her pants around her ankles and hear growling/grunting behind her. Also, this just really speeds her pee-breaks when on the trail and she was pretty happy about being able to leave her pack on and not waste any time. However, for some it is some pretty severe drama!

I took my girlfriend and a couple of her friends to Mardi Gras one year. One was a nursing student and they all three wore catheters. I declined the offer for my own.

I have a friend who has thru-hiked the AT. She said that for the first several days, when she had to pee, she hiked way off the trail and looked for a big rock or tree to hide behind. After a week or so, it was: Step off trail, lower pants, squat and pee. Modesty goes away on a thru-hike...or at least it did for my friend.

I have four Girls

The whole issue of issue was never an issue....
They step off the trail out of sight, I or another of the Girls stand where they went off the trail so no one else might follow by accident

I work for a undisclosed large outdoor retail store and in the camping section they carry what's called . go girl urinating funnel for women. I originally bought it as gag gift for my wife. now she won't go in the woods without it.
