Myerchin 300-series knife opinions sought

My sailboat has been a memory for two decades. I still want a riggers knife - like the boats' carried when I was in the USN. The Myerchin sailor's knives look interesting. I finally bought the Vic Mariner SAKs - and found the old Buck 315. These knives look nice, however. I know they are imports - but they have a GSA number - must be doing something right.

Anyone have a B300/BW300 OffShore Folder Pro or P300 Sailor's Tool?

Thanks!

I don't recall whcih model I have. It's all stainless.

Great bosun's knife. If that's what you want, get a Myerchin.

I recently acquired a B300, and it's a great knife.

We don't have any oceans in Colorado, but I like it anyway! :p

Haven't had it up in the high country yet, but that marlinspike should be great for working with rope around camp.

Another knife to consider is the A.G. Russel Sea Master. :)

I had an earlier model than the current B300, though it looked teh same, it didn't have the hole in the blade, and the first finger curve wasn't there in the handle.

its heavier than you might imagine, so you will need to wear a belt with this, its not something you will put in your pocket and forget about.

No complaint otherwise, nice knife, i left the navy and left it in the hands of a friend.

I finally saw the AG Russell Sea Master variants on their site - pretty neat, with frame-locks. Pricey - I guess Italians don't work as inexpensively as folks from the far east. Actually, I could get a couple of the sale price A/B 300's for the SS S.M. price - more for the coated version ($275 is a bit dear!). I guess I'll rethink my 'needs'! Thanks!!

Merry Christmas!

PS I ordered a B300!
