hey there gents, just checking in.
all the prayers and good vibes are working and are muvh appreciated.

I am getting stronger, but still confined to a wheel chair for now.
I can walk the length of the hallway(155 ft.) with a walker now, but still need a nurse to pull up my britches.,not to mention other unmentionables. :o
my hands are weak as hell with no fine motor controls yet.( the nerves need to regenerate and be reprogramed)
Therapy is helping as I am ikproving on a weekly basis so I keep pushing myself.
the trick is to knoww when to ease off and not overexert myself as thatcan cause a setack lke i had a couple of week ago.
I had to go upstairs to thePCU for a couple of more golublin treatments after I got weak and fell down twice in a week.
Not to worry, the 2 extra treatments have really made a difference, ande I am improving on a daily basis streangth wise.

I have a projected discgarge date of 5 aug. and hopefully will be improved enough to go home with little
in home nursing assistance.
otherwise I'll be sent to an assisted living type joint.:thumbdn: :barf:

Anyhoo, keep the vibes comin' guys, they really do help and are very much appreciated.

oh and sorry for the long delays in replying.
I am using a keyboard that the tv controler /nurse calling dohicky pluges into and it is pretty crude/slow to use,not to mention my pecking with numb fingers.I makes fr a god therapyy workout i suppose so I shouldn't complaine.:)

And keep ordering JKs so John isstill in businesswhen i get back on my feet please.( stll have a few on my list ;))

OK, it's bedybye time, ya'l have a god one and I'll see ya when Ihave the time and engery for pecking,
I mean posting.
:D:

Glad to hear that everything is improving. Slow but sure wins every time, so don't push too hard, take it easy so you can get back out in the woods and shoot that Kimber!
My family is keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Good to see you, Mykel. I have no doubt that you will beat this. It sounds like you're in good hands. I hope the nurses are cute.

Good job Bud!
It might bring a smile to your face to know that I put one piece of the coal you sent me in every knife I heat treat. The Misses and I had a good laugh over the bag when we saw it in the Christmas box!

Thanks Myke, keep on doing what you can. We will be here for you.

Awesome man! Keep up the hard work. It all pays out in the end.

Just like NJBillK above, I still use your box of fat wood you sent me to light every BBQ fire I use. One piece of that wood with charcoal all around it gets the job done every time!

Best wishes Mykel. You sound like your spirits are good and that means you are in the win zone.
Rise slowly but do keep rising.

Good to hear from you, Mykel! Stick with it, it sounds like you are making progress.

awesome and another big smile knowing the FW is being used!

Great to hear from you, make, looks like your getting the hang of that keyboard dohicky!

glad to hear you're moving better and on the right track sir. I haven't been able to check in to much as I'm away at the LEO academy and have to live there but I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers sir. Keep up the positive attitude

Again I thank you all for the support.I am home and on the short road to recovery.
No more relying on the nurses means doing for myself which equals strengthening on a daily basis.

The occupational therapy department at the hospital has a drivers ed type car and I got to drive it around a big parking lot at a church near the hospital last Wednesday
It was slow going but I did good and my feet and legs operated the gas and brake petals instinctively.
That was a huge moral booster I gotta say.:D
No doubt I'll be walking on my own hind legs and driving my truck in no time.

You can close this thread now John as I'll post progress updates in the whatever thread.

Thanks again ya'll. :)

I'm glad to hear that you are improving so quickly, but don't over exert yourself! Work at it steadily, and keep us updated.
At your request, I am closing this thread.
