MYOG Stove Project

Works for me now. Thanks for the post, thats a genious idea. Bookmarked for later when I get around to trying this one out:thumbup:

Hey Pritch,

This is what I see as of 5 minutes ago.

I can see the stuff that Joe hosted all right.

Wow this is frustrating! I was so excited to share this idea I came up with and my kung fu is so weak that nobody can see the images! :grumpy:

Doc, I inserted those images into the first post so you could see them in context. Does that view okay now?

Hey Pritch,

They all show up except one (the picture between the following sentences is still a red X) :

Here is a comparison between the components of the two-piece Esbit/Alcohol and the three-piece wood burner:

]Here you can see that Version 2.0 is narrower and taller that the first one. Nevertheless, it is still quite stable.

Two ounces of cold tap water took approximately 14 minutes to achieve a rolling boil. (I was timing it but went inside to get some coffee to brew!) Air temperature was 50 degrees F and there was almost no wind. The Esbit fuel continued to burn for another nine minutes. I’m not sure if I could get a boil from a single tab, but I certainly could get water hot enough for tea or coffee.

Small cup of coffee. Maybe expresso. ;)

Doc - Yeah, Joe missed that one pic but it wasn't critical. I still haven't figured out why people are having trouble viewing the photos in this thread in particular. Were you able to view the ones in my Bottle Pimping thread?

HorneyToad - D'oh! That was supposed to say "Two cups". Wait, that's what it says! I don't know what you're talking about! :D

Hi guys. I think I finally figured out why the pictures weren't displaying correctly for some of you. It seems that when I used my host's editor to crop my pictures, it added "prohibited" characters to the file names. Hopefully I have it all sorted out now.

SIGH :(

I guess I'll have to set up a Photobucket account. I can see the pictures fine, as can some others. Makes it hard to puzzle this out and seriously dillutes what I was wanting to share with you guys. GRUMBLE! :grumpy:

Hi Guys. I'm in the process of migrating my photos from my old host (SmugMug) to my new one (PhotoBucket). I'll post when I'm done. Sorry for all the static.

I have finally moved and resized all of the images and reinserted them into this thread. Thanks for your patience.

nice work :) I started w/ a windscreen for my little esbit stove and ended up w/ one that also burns wood- rather nicely I might add :)
