I have in my possesion an old knife. I don't have any pictures right now but i can describe it. It is slim folding knife and looks like a toothpick knife only the writings on it are in japanese (it is written with japanese symbols "ningyo" that means mermaid). It has a mermaid carved on one side of the handle and a bird (a pigeon i think) on the other side. The handle looks to have been painted red when it the metal it's made of seems to be bronze. The blade is iron. The previous owner thinks it's from ww2 but he's not sure.Does anyone know what knife i'm talking about?(it has japanese writings across both sides of the handle, ia have been able to translate what it says on one side-"ningyo", but have no idea what it says on the other side). Thank you.
