Crossada, the handkerchief idea is actually excellent. It also keeps the knife from slipping out and being lost when you find yourself crawling around on the floor or whatever.

I carry my knife in a pouch in the same pocket as my pda (with only a "screen protector" as its protection). In a pouch the knife stays unscratched, doesn't scratch anything in that pocket, and stays put!

Great post, my blade brother.. You reminded me just now.. I forgot all about my Buckaroo method of pocket carry. Hell, I posted in this thread before and forgot to mention this as an alternative to just letting the bolsters, and for that fact, all the rest of a fine slippy to be worked over with pocket clutter.. Several years ago I posted and endorsed these as a great alternative as opposed to going naked..
