Hello all,
I have here three little knives shaped for cutting craft materials such as leather or cloth, or simply as an unusual daily use blade.
These are forged and ground from the "mysterious ti alloy plate" as test blades, please see the thread linked below to see the origin and more information about how they came to be:
https://bladeforums.com/threads/mysterious-titanium-plate.1520398/
They are all about 5 1/2" OAL, with a leather and nylon handle wrap of 2" not including he pommel end. Blades are at or just under 3" and passed cardboard and leather cutting tests well! They are quite thin and slicey, convex, sharp and featherweight.
Pictured, from top to bottom:
Most thin round knife - this round knife retains the outermost hard, gray "alpha case" oxidized surface layer from heat treatment.
Medium thickness round knife - this one retains the slippery, unusual "chrome-like" layer that arose during heat treatment, but the alpha case has been removed.
Square nosed knife - the thickest of the three, it's still thin, and has most of the surface layers ground off post HT.
All three exhibit a hieroglyphic smattering of work marks left over from bringing them about.
Price: $200 each, shipped to USA. Overseas knife snatchers must cover any weird high shipping charges.
Paypal: KLSAMEE@yahoo.com
Optional sheath: Leatherworker cyberdroid Ms. Øye will make a leather sheath for your mysterious ti knife for an extra $75, in either dangler, cross-draw, or hybrid configuration. Please allow a few days for sheath construction.
Thanks for looking.
