Mystery Box

Hey, good for you Sam, that's GREAT! If you don't mind my asking, what did that puppy run you? And the freight?

PM sent Phil. I will make it all clear after I have the hammer all set up and running for a while, I intend to let there be no secrets about these hammers anymore, all the myths and rumors and "my cousin's brother's friend said this about them" will be no more, they will be proved or proved wrong. Everyone I have talked to who uses one n a daily basis has said they are great hammers.

Awww its so cute! ;);)

Now joking aside, VERY NICE! Congratulations; I was wondering when you would be ordering your hammer.

I'm very much looking forward to your review. Not only would I love to have a hammer this size some day, but Donna is also interested in using one!

No need to be jealous guys, you are all welcome to come and use the hammer once it is setup anytime! If you are heading to Ashokan this year, it maybe might be there, have to iron a few things out first.

Don't tease me, Sam. That would be awesome to try that baby out! Hell, I'd even pay a rental / usage fee !!!!!!

No teasing :D

HAMMER DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I am off to pick it up then off to work afterwards, photos will be when I get home.

What inquiring minds want to know is not only if it is a good hammer, but if the 33 pounder is powerful enough to do what we need to do. Awaiting your report.:D

Yea, I wanna know also. What kind of substructure do you need for that?

You will a full report, I guarantee it. I promise I won't pull a nick wheeler and abandon the post at the end before the climax :D.

I picked up the hammer today, entire shipping weight 915 pounds! My poor little truck hehe. Got it all offloaded into the shop with my brother's engine crane, got a bunch of GREAT pictures, but no way to upload them!!!! Hopefully that will be fixed tomorrow and I can get em up. The hammer is nice, VERY heavy duty, very solid and very tight. It is built like a tank, also it is bigger than I thought it would be. I am PSYCHED, cannot wait to get it up and running. I am having James Johnson build me a base for it, as I do not have access to the welding shop anymore, and he knows how to do them perfectly also. Once I get the base I will get it all wired up and fill it with concrete and set the hammer and motor on and fire it up, should only be a couple more weeks.

Thanks Jeff!!!!

HERE'S PICTURES!!!

Here I am arriving at the shipping depot, it threatened rain all day but thankfully did not.

I didn't get any pictures of it being loaded, I probably would have been arrested taking pictures inside the facility, and I was too excited anyway :D, but here it is in my truck at my job.

It's so tiny! It's like a LG had a baby. That is just so cool!

It isn't as small as it looks, but then again it is small, It is hard to explain! It is cute though :D. I should have the base by end of next week, then have it in a week, once I have it in place I will fill it with concrete and let that cure for a couple weeks, then set the hammer and motor up in place and fire it up for the first time!

Great Sam! Of all the photos I've seen of you with your work, etc. This is the first time you didn't have to tell us you were really smiling! :D:D:D
