Hey everyone! Justin Stinson here from RMF
I would like to introduce you to Mythic #3 - Kraken
Mythic's are themed runs of culinary knives that I do. There are ten made per myth. The artwork is original and laser etched on to the blades. Each blade is numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
I still have some knives left from previous Mythic's as well. #1 Griffin and #2 Medusa. They are available on my website
Specs: Western Gyuto
Steel: 1084 HC
Handle Material: Crazy fiber/ Brass/ Maple burl
Pins: Carbon fiber and mosaic
Blade Length: 8” Blade, 5” Handle, 2"(50mm) tall, 3/32" thickest tapered
Forged in distal taper
Rounded corners
Mirror finished edge
$450 each

This build was inspired by Christian our laser master. He chose this rounds myth. To compliment the ocean for which the creature lives I decided a blue theme would fit best. Also I wanted to use a blade that had lots of surface area that was Japanese in style. Due to Japanese culture having some of the best shapes in cutlery to process fish I felt the Gyuto would check all the boxes for this myth. This time I wanted to add forge texture to the blades and actually forge in a taper to thin out the tip. The texture could not have blended in better with the artwork. I went with Crazyfiber on the handle because it looks similar to coral in nature. Then I did half of the build with a light blue to represent the top of the ocean. Then dark blue & black to represent the dark depths of the ocean. The end result is a beautiful light weight all purpose knife for the kitchen that will make heads turn.
Any support this community can offer would be extremely helpful. Tell your family and friends. Subscribe to my newsletter on my website. Drop a comment below. Everything helps. I have put my soul into these Mythic's, with the highest level of Function, fit & finish, and ergonomics I am capable of. I want to provide my customers a high end tool that gives you an experience. This is a increasingly harder thing to find now days.
If you would like to purchase one I have it set up super easy on my website. Shipping is $12 in the US and $35 to Canada. If you prefer the DM transaction I am here for you.
